How to properly export Cryptomattes for Photoshop? Seems I cant find the right thing on the internet so far. In Modo, was just one click to get the " Color ID Pass" I've tried EXR multi layer a Rendering with Mantra gives perfect cryptomattes which work with exrIO in Photoshop and in vanilla AfterFX. Vray renders, cryptomatte works fine in AfterFX but does not work at all in Photoshop, just really weird alphas. ProEXR plugin for photoshop doesn't parse cryptomattes from either Mantra or Vray. Cryptomatte passes which generate automatically masks for your objects, billions of uncompressed colors. Each and every shade, reflection and shadow of your 3D work can be now accessed and retouched. Exr-IO 2.00 released with Cryptomatte support | CGPress May 28, 2019 Plus one from me. I output a Cryptomatte on virtually every 3D CGI job I do. A high proportion of these are stills - and are therefore assembled and refined in Photoshop. Having Cryptomatte functionality in Ps would be a real bonus! Please note: Cryptomatte is now available across many 3D CGI Rendering engines - not just Vray. I use Redshift myself.
